Ceremony Location

Our Indian ceremony will be in Chembur, India.

The ceremony will occur at the park next door to Reema’s family home in Chembur. Chembur may be thought of as part of the Bombay metroplex, with a quiter and more relaxed demeanor.

We will be leaving the Monday after the ceremony for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Specifically, we plan to visit Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island.

Travel Information

If you live in the United States and plan to travel to India for our Indian ceremony, there are a few important things you need to know.

First (and hopefully obvious) you need to have a valid passport with at least six months remaining until it expires. Additionally, it is absolutely critical that you get a visa to India. There are various lengths and types of visas available, although if you are in a hurry and plan not to stay for more than 30 days, consider the e-visa. Otherwise, if you are a few months early, we suggest the 10 year visa so that you can return someday to explore. Please be aware: you will not be allowed into the country without a visa!

Before leaving for India, you will want to print copies of your flight itinerary. Before returning home, you will need to present your itinerary to the guards before admission to the main airport building. No one is allowed into the airport without their itinerary.

Our Love Story

Reema and Nicolas met in graduate school at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Although they literally worked in adjoining rooms, it took Nicolas two years to find Reema. Once he did find her, though, he did not let Reema escape him. Through stubborn tenacity, countless coffee breaks, and plain good luck, Nicolas eventually wooed Reema. On October 18, 2011 they had their first (jointly recognized) date and on June 26, 2015 Nicolas asked Reema to marry him.

We are milking this celebration for all its worth: a wedding plus ceremonies and celebrations in both India and the United States of America. We hope that you will share in the joy of our marriage.
